Shellac is back!
We have all had to deal with wood that would not finish properly. Sometimes it will be blotchy or have streaks. Seal coat shellac works well for issues like that. Dewaxed shellac is what you need. You can get it premixed or buy the flakes & mix it yourself. Check it out and let me know what you think.

Use your skills to help others.
As a woodworker/maker, I get great satisfaction in building things. Recently I turned a few wine bottle stoppers for a fundraiser that benefits the nurses at my local hospital. The money will help them cover the cost of the S.A.F.E Nurse certification. While turning the wood I thought about how cool it is to do something I enjoy & it be able to help others. My small investment will pay huge dividends to all the patients that the nurses help.
