About me…Really?

I grew up with old school parents from the south, they could do anything with their hands…Anything! My dad was into drag racing motorcycles & sometimes cars. I spent SO MANY nights hanging out in a shop as a little kid disassembling and cleaning parts. Later, I learned to measure & assemble engines. We had a small garage at home where my dad would do some woodwork. I held on to his shirttail trying to learn all that I could.

When I went to junior high school (early 80’s) when industrial arts class was a full year, we covered welding, woodworking, & basic electrical. I had a blast with each discipline. In high school I was a votech student (auto shop).  I did a year of auto mechanic school after high school & spent many years working in hot rod shops building cars from bumper to bumper. When the shop was slow we would build wooden shop benches and ended up selling a few. We also did some custom wood interior work for  vans & high end cars.

Now I am building a small home shop in my basement. My website will be more blog than business. Because I am a tinkerer, you may see me do just about anything like woodwork, metal, glass, & electronics. I will be selling a few things later in the year.  One of my goals is to help motivate others build their own little workshop. I have learned so much from the YouTube woodworking community & want to give back.
